Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia [Italy]
Luca Spogli is a senior research scientist at the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, INGV), where he currently leads the Upper Atmosphere Physics and Radiopropagation Unit. His research interests cover solar-terrestrial physics and space weather, with a particular focus on investigating and modeling the formation and dynamics of ionospheric irregularities. Specifically, he uses in-situ satellite measurements and GNSS data to study how these irregularities disrupt trans-ionospheric signals. Additionally, he is a founder and partner of SpacEarth Technology, an INGV spin-off company.
