Ioannis A. Daglis is the President of the Hellenic Space Center and Professor of Space Physics at the University of Athens. He is an expert in solar-terrestrial coupling processes and space weather; his work is focused on the dynamics of energetic particles and of geospace magnetic storms. He has (co-)authored 100+ scientific papers (5700 citations, h-index=41) and has edited and co-authored 5 textbooks;  the most recent book, “Waves, particles and storms in geospace”, co-edited with G. Balasis and I.R. Mann, was published by Oxford University Press in 2016. He has been a Co-Investigator on three NASA missions (SAC-B, Polar, THEMIS) and two ESA missions (BepiColombo, Proba3) and has been Principal Investigator in 29 funded projects.
